Network Marketing / MLM Home Based Business & A Lotto Mentality

You are invited to listen to a business venture at a local Hoteland people wearing trendy clothes and have great presentation skills come to the front of the room. A hush forms and the speaker welcomes everyone to the Network Marketing / MLM Home Based Business meeting and compliments them for taking time out of their busy week to attend a meeting when they could be at home with their family. The speaker promises to be brief. He cracks a joke and everyone begins to enter the “MLM Trance”

The speakers starts constructing circles and arrows and explains that with you sponsoring up one person and only one new recruit every 30 days and teach your team to equally do the same and you will have 1000s of people in your organization and live on a street named after you.. Don’t cash that check right away – It is not going to happen. While it is true that there is always an exception to everything and you may be introduced to some quiet guy with a lisp that walks with a limp and stutters but is now earning obscene money in his business after 12 months, believe me when I tell you that he is not the status quo or even the average in the top 5 %.

Please don’t misunderstand what I am saying. I love MLM because of the opportunity it offers. But don’t get sucked into thinking that success is just going to happen to you because you joined XYZ company. When some guy says he fell off a banana truck and without getting a high school education he joined this Network Marketing / MLM Home Based Business and is making 6 figures a year after 12 months run from him. Seriously, MLM is a great way to build a solid financial future and all of the high pressure closers that throw huge money claims out might sign up a lot of people but they are being set up for a huge disapointment.

More people fail in Network Marketing / MLM Home Based Business because they are unrealistic in their expectations. Having goals that make you nervous is great and I agree with that, but if you want more in life you have got to become more and you may need to give up some things to get there. Ok you bought your own MLM business, great! Now you need to start yourself in a self development program. If you call someone about your business is your focus on you signing the person up or helping that person solve their financial problem. You decided to go into MLM but what do you bring to the market place that would be of value to another person wanting to earn an income. Please don’t say it is your products or services! I have been a recruiter for the past 10 years and recently added some additional skills to share with my new consultants and to help them build their MLM. The most common problem new people have is a lack of people to present their business opprotunity to. Fortunately that is no longer an issue with the training I can now give my new people.
